Trierer Volksfest 2010
[11-06-10] : After there has been no funfair in Trier in 2009, this year the funfair is coming back to the oldest german city. Some interesting attractions are present at the fairground, to note the german première of Fackler's Après Ski Party. But the excessive security (no drinks and no cycles allowed on the fairground) does not necessarily make the number of visitors rise up. A pity, because Trier is a funfair with potential. Break Dance Restyling 2010

[08-04-10] : The Break Dance from Alex Marc has been restyled for this 2010 season: all 16 gondolas have been repainted in bright colors and in different themes such as Starwars, Spiderman, Batman, Michael Jackson etc. The ride looks pretty good and we are looking forward to see it again in Luxembourg. HERE are a few pictures of the new gondolas.

[31-03-10] : Here we go for the funfair season 2010 with the opening of the Easter funfair in Esch-sur-Alzette on march 26th and the Foire attractive in Nancy on april 2nd, to name only these funfairs. As the weather conditions will get better there will be no doubt the real funfair feeling will operate again...
Pictures from Esch and Nancy will - of course - be online on funfair.lu during the next days, and this will only be the beginning for 2010!

New big wheel for Germany?
[03-02-10] : As it seems there will be a new big wheel which will turn in Germany in 2010. German showman Bruch (big wheel Bellevue) and the Swiss showman Hablützel (Expo Star Wheel) put themselves together so that we can expect that the big wheel Expo Star, built in 2000 and 60 meters high joins besides Swiss funfairs also several carnivals in Germany...

Faller scale model novelty 2010

[30-01-10] : Faller announces only one new funfair scale item in 1:87 for this year. The rainbow "Millenium" shall be the novelty 2010. The itemnumber is 140429, it shall cost 89,95 euros and be delivered from september on. To note that, a few years ago, Faller already had a Rainbow model in its range.

B&M Inverted Coaster to come near Luxembourg !
[10-01-10] : If, as announced, it really opens on the 10th April, 2010, the Walygator Parc (early Big Bang Stroumpf) would have managed one of its biggest coups. It is namely announced that the parc, distant only 30 kilometers of Luxembourg will get one of the biggest Invertedcoaster of Bollinger & Mabillard, It is about the "Orochi" coaster from the Expoland in Osaka (Japan) that should be transferred to Walygator. 1.125 meters long and 39 meters high, with looping, Helix, Cobra Roll and two Wing Over the coaster is a proper Highlight! Incidentally the at Walygator the coaster should be named" The monster " what is certainly not exaggerated ! (Picture: Parc Walygator)

120 Meter Flyer at Wiener Prater

[10-01-10] : In 2004 the first 70 meter high Star Flyer by Funtime has been opened in the Viennese Prater . It was the first ride of these ride-type. Now, in 2010, a 120 meters high Starflyer, built also by Funtime will open in Vienna. In a nostalgic look, with 24 seats, 38 meters of diameter and 75 km/h the new Star Flyer placed on area 59a, should take its passengers upwards. Faller assortment to shrink

[10-01-10] : Like other manufacturers in scale model construction the crisis has also hit the house Faller. How it should just go on is not known yet. The funfair assortment should be maintained, but some models will be taken out from the assortment, so the range of models will shrink.

A new big wheel for France
[10-01-10] : At the end of March a new 55 meter big wheel with 42 gondolas will be delivered by Mondial to a showman from Paris. The wheel which will be held in neutral colours should first stand at the Place de la Concorde before travelling on.

2010: XXL for Belgium and Luxembourg?

[10-01-10] : It is already longer spoken about it, now here are the details. The Belgian showman Jacky Dotremont will receive for the season 2010 a KMG XXL swing. It will be decorated by Courtois Décorations. The Première should take place on the Sinksenfoor in Antwerp. Jacky Dotremont travels actually with the X-treme, a KMG Afterburner. Before, family Dotremont regularly stayed in Luxembourg with their rides Hard Rock or Canyon Raft, so that one can imagine that with the XXL, Luxembourg could again figure on the tour plan of family Dotremont...

Trierer Volksfest 2010 announced to be great...
[10-01-10] : How it seems an outstanding issue of the Trierer Volksfest is announced for 2010. After in 2009 as it is known, no Volksfest took place, it should go round again this year in the Messepark, from the 11th to the 20th of June. According to organizers G. Sonnier and M&M Events are announced: Break Dance (Sonnier), Alpha 1 (Peeters), Wilde Maus (Goebel), Around the world (Van der Beek), Airwolf (Eberhard), XXL (Denies-Kipp), Royal Bavarian Wheel (Jost), and the new Riverrafting-ride from Kriek-Fackler, just to name only those.
